How to Store your Malbec WineIf you are going to store your Malbec wine, you should ensure that it is stored in an area with the perfect environment for aging.  Malbec wines are in their best form when they are aged since aging optimizes their quality.  The taste gets better as time goes.  The basic things that you should check are temperature, humidity, light and position.

Temperature is very important when it comes to storing wines.  The ideal temperature for Malbec wines is between 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.  A wine cellar can give you this perfect temperature.  If the temperature is too high, your Malbec wine will oxidize and age prematurely while if the temperature is too low, your wine’s natural aging process will slow down.  It is advised to have constant temperature because sudden fluctuations can have an adverse effect on your wines.

Your storage should also have as little light as possible because light oxidizes wines.  Humidity should also be enough because too much humidity will cause molds and mildew while too little humidity will make the cork dry out that will then cause air to enter the bottle and will oxidize the wine.

Your Malbec wine should also be stored on its side especially if the bottle has a natural cork.  This will ensure that there is a constant contact between the wine and cork and refrain the cork from drying out.

With the environment requirements in storing your Malbec wine, it is advisable to have a wine cellar so that you can ensure that your wines are served in its optimized form.
