Combination and formation

The Destinado Malbec 2010 is made in small batches. This red and full bodied wine is classified under the dry red type. With Malbecs used as the central flavour provider, it constitutes of 13.9% alcohol. The wine is hand harvested another feature that makes it stand out amongst other wines from the Malbec wines. Deep in the Uco valley after it is hand harvested, it is then aged in barrels made up of oak for at least eight months. This variety uses both American and French oak to age the wine. The wine is then laced with amazing scent of espresso or caffeine giving the wine an intriguing yet distinct quality. It is a full bodied wine that has red cherries and strawberries in its mix with a tinge of citric acid opening the taste to the lush taste of both of the plum and juicy fruits. It has a very rich acidity and it is crisp in flavour with the most mesmerizing finishes by raspberries.

This wine has pleased people throughout the world and has been able to bag the gold medal at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition held in New York in 2011.  It was even honoured in Paris at the Vinalies in 2012.  The wine spectator has proudly named the Destinado Malbec 2010 as one of the best Malbec wines or rather one of the best wines in the market up to date.
